Anal Bleeding
Posted: 01-18-06 15:32pm

I have been searching all over the web, but I can not seem to find an answer to my specific problem. I have bleeding from my anus that started a couple of months ago. It started with bright red blood coming out when I went to the bathroom. However, over time it seems to have gotten worse. Now, I will feel the urge to go to the bathroom and only blood comes out. It comes out like water and leaks out of the anus and pools into the toilet. I still bleed when I go to the bathroom, but I am concerned because the blood has gotten darker (more of a maroon color and sometimes even browish) and because I will go to the bathroom to release only blood. I'm not sure this is normal for a hemmaroid. Also, when I do go, I am very gassy and it's almost like an explosion of blood (it ends up all over the inside of the toilet). I have not found anything like this on the internet. I also do not have medical insurance because I am a full time student. Should I go to the hospital? Any help is greatly appreciated. (sorry for any gross details in this message!!)

Go see a Dr. Right away. Screw medical insurance, be in debt if you have to. It is not worth risking your health.

Hi,

i'm suffering with the exact same problem and i'm only 18 years old! I have had the same symptoms for a few months now which seem to be getting worse like yours do. I'm scared that this is a serious problem. I'm going to go to my doctor tomorrow I think, although the thought of it makes me feel very embarassed.
