Q: Pain Under the Arm

My armpits have been very sore for the past two days. The hurt when I move them and especially when there is pressure on them. What could be causing this?

There might be several reasons for pain in the armpits. Shoulder joint inflammation, muscle inflammation, axilar lymphadenitis (less common), shoulder muscles fatigue (most common),… can all cause pain. You can visit your family doctor, and then an orthopedist if necessary in order, to diagnose the condition. You might also request more information from these medical professionals about a non-steroid anti-inflammatory analectic (aspirin, cetoprofen, diklophenac,…) or other treatments to help relieve the pain.
