Making Baby Is Getting Harder...
Posted: 01-18-06 08:46am

My grandmother's generation she had 10 children (1940s-1960s).
My mother's generation she 3 children (1970s-1980s).
My generation, I am struggling to become pregnant (2003-2006).

Since when did making baby became this tough, let's all ladies trying to find out the cause and we can solve the problem to become mothers soon.

Some causes that I can think of:

1) those days mothers dun work, they are housewife. Nowadays ladies are all working, so too much stress at work and it carries home, at times I through my anger at my husband and he does that too.

2) food intake maybe we are not eating healthy enough. Too much fast foods and finger foods and fried foods, I guess. Not enough of vitamins and proper healthy diet.

3) side effect from medicines last time, my grandmother makes remedies and home herbal medicines but nowadays we take pill and pills for everything. Not only doctor medicine but we become doctors and take medicines from the pharmacy shelves. To the extent that some pain medicines have no effect on us anymore.

I think by the time I become pregnant, I can do a master degree in pregnancy....... Hahahaha! So mush of info I have been reading and reading in the internet...

R there anyone doing things like me?

It is harder to gety pregnant for some such as myself. My grandmother and my mother had no difficulties in conceiving and giving birth, but it took me 2 very long years to get my son and then it took me 4 more years to concieve again which I lost after 12 weeks of pregnancy and now I am back playing the waiting game and it has been another year. I read info everyday on the internet and in books about the subject and I have even been to 4 different doctors whom for some odd reason cant find out what is wrong with me now that I am 20 days late and apparently not pregnant. I get my blood test back tomorrow, but I have a gut feeling that it will be negative. I am not good at this getting pregnant thing and it is so frustrating. If this test is negative then I will be having that test done where they put dye into your tubes to look for blockages done in feb. So best of luck to you and if you find any age old secret to getting pregnant please share it with the rest of us!

Same here too! I am reading anything that I can get my hands on about pregnancy! It seems to be turning into a slight obsession! Lol! I have no idea why us ladies are finding it hard to conceive these days but in my case I already have 2 children, 2 boys, 4years and 20 months. Both of these were happy accidents. We are now going for baby no3, our 1st planned baby. Why was it so easy for me to fall pregnant with the other 2 when I was on the pill and now that we are desperately trying nothing happens? I definitely think stress and pressure of wanting a baby plays a big part! Good luck to both of you! Let me know how you get on! :)

U see what I mean, this waiting game is making all of us experts in pregnancy except for the fact that we are still ttc and not there yet....

But dun loose hope, we will be there definitely. We will have the babies we want and deserve to have.

Best wishes to all who ttc...
