I wasnt sure where to put this question but here seems like the right place.........

My husband and I are going to be ttc in about a month or two. I have anxiety and get panic attacks sometimes. Im worried that some of my anxiety medication might hurt the baby. My doctor told me that that prozac is fine to take. Does anybody else know what kinds of anxiety/depression medication is ok to take during pregnancy? Any info would be great thanks!

Prozac
A major issue on this topic is that no one has really tested this (think of the ethical implications). But valerian (great for stress) seems to be just fine and so does st. John's wart (depression). Prozac is one of the least harmful ssris around. The question is this: are you going to be able to survive 9 months without hurting yourself or others if you do not take medication?
If you beleive that you can survive without endangering yourself then here's another question: can you keep yourself from being extrememly stressed without those medications? Extreme stress (much more than normal stress) can be very bad for your pregnancy.
A side note, I did everything right during my pregnancy and miscarried at 9 wks. I've had friends who did everything wrong had have perfectly healthy babies.
