Q: Anxiety, Composition of Picamilon, and Interest in MAO-inhib
asked by: DoctorQuestion on January 17th, 2006
Picamilon, russian nootropic for anxiety. it is considered a weak MAOI-A drug, would that mean there is risk of cheese effect/tyramine like with Nardil etc. I want to try it for anxiety since it does cross blood brain barrier but MAOI risk is scaring me.

Picamilon is not an MAO-inhibitor so it most likely doesn’t have a tyramine-effect. It is combination of GABA and niacin. It is best to consult a psychiatrist before you take ANY medicine.
