If people want to investigate religion there are sites for that such as beliefnet which covers everything from witches to heathens to mainstream churches & much more.

We come here for health related issues & I for one do not want other non-medical or matters not in some way medically related to find their way in here. I have deep & personal beliefs, as i'm sure do others & we can go to an appropriate forum if we choose to do so. Evil or Very Mad

Well I think his intentions were well intended but posts like these start arguments, because of different faiths and beliefs. So I think that I will just leave my post like that and not put in my religious beliefs! Have a great day everyone!

Re:jesus
If you don't want to read about jesus then why did you click on a post titled jesus? You don't have to read it if you don't want to. And I agree that god is the great physician and that people who have no hope because of terminal or life afflicting illnesses need god and jesus. Did you forget that this was a free country?....... Keep it real rayjay!!!!
Jesus loves you too megan!

For the record my religious beliefs happen to agree with rayjays!!

Also for the recrd this is not the place for such a post!!

Furthermore I clicked on the post titled jesus because that is also a name & some people use it as a plea for help so I do not assume that the title of a post is what the subject is, I prefer to read the post & then decide!!

Last but not least!!!!!!!!!!!! Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil
the comment "did you forget that this is a free country is one I find extremely offensive Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil
i am not & nor are tonnes of the other people who come to ehealth american & whether we live in a free country (as I do) or not we have a right to post here & also a right to not have people post on topics that belong on other sites.

I just couldn't resist.... We christians have a responsibility to speak of christ everywere and anytime we believe the lord thru the empowerment of the holy spitrit, has promted us to do so. To the shigrin of the devil himself and because of the protest the lords name prompts in those who never knew him! We have been called to be a name dropper to aliviate the ills and torment of this world thru the saving grace of the risin lord jesus christ amen!!!! Lily powell

Pushing anything down people's throats will push them away faster than anything, discussion (on boards where it is sought) is what brings people together - at least intelligent people who are open minded & willing to discuss rather than thrust their views down everyone else's throats.
Christ & other religious leaders (like buddha etc) never forced their views they simply led by example & so others followed/

First I would like to start by saying that I apologize for any offense this may cause to anyone who reads this. But you are cautioned that these are my beliefs and opinions. Nothing said is meant to offend, hurt anyone's feelings or cause any distress. I hope only to inform others and hopefully give them a new perspective to consider.

I don't mind others opinions. I can accept it or disregard anything anyone says. And I choose whether or not to allow it to offend me. If I don't believe what someone says I just take it with a grain of salt. I can comment on it and debate with them my beliefs, though. That is everyones god given right to decide for one's self and express one's opinions. So why is it that if, for example, someone who believes in buddism or kabbala or judiasm or any other religion can discuss their beliefs and no one is crying "don't push your beliefs down my throat!" only are christians getting that. Why? We express our beliefs out of jesus's love for the world. We want to see people free from suffering and oppression and saved from the judgment that we believe is coming to the world. But we are recieved with contempt. The truth hurts, I guess. We just want to offer to the world what we believe is the greatest gift a human could have. They can accept it or reject it. But we feel that we must try. Since the beginning of jesus's life there has been much controversy and those who hate him and his followers. This is nothing new and i'm sure they said other things to discredit their message besides "no one will ever accept your message because you are pushing your beliefs down our throat." the truth is that no one can push any idea down your throat unless you want them to. Real christians do not give the message to try and tell people they are wrong but to try and set them free with the truth out of love for jesus and the world. We lead by example as well and the record shows that christianity is the most followed religion. And we were given a mission. One that is hard because we know from jesus words that we will be hated for this just as he was. And all our mission is, is to send out his message (the truth) to all the people in this world so that they might be saved through the crucifiction of jesus. This mission is unique to christians. Other religions do not share their beliefs with the world because they were not commissioned with this mission. That is the difference.

I would like to add that I used to be athiest and said the same thing. Before god (not man) revealed the truth to me. But used man as a vessel and circumstances to offer me the truth, to draw me near and open my mind to him. So I could make a choice to believe or not to believe. I know what god will do for his suffering children because he has saved me from tormenting depression, drugs, death, an abusive relationship and from other equally bad problems. And he is willing to help anyone on this forum who needs to be saved from physical and mental torments as well as saving them spiritually. Before him I was empty and had no reason to live or enjoy life. Nothing I did could help me. No one I knew could help me. And no doctor or shrink could help me. Only god. And may god have all the glory! God will use doctors and other natural means to heal his people. But he wants us to come to him.

Also I must say concerning this place of discussion, that I agree with lili's comments. But I also understand the point you make. This is a medical forum. But religious forums don't reach the people that christians are trying to reach. And people who are suffering from sickness, fatal illnesses, or mental torment need jesus. He can stop their suffering. This is what I believe. And I also believe that there is a reason for everything. These posts have been put here for a reason. And I believe it is for good and for god's purpose. And if you truly believe what ray-jay and I believe how can you deny the mission he was trying to fill (with a right heart)?Did it really cause you or anyone else some pain or unbearable feeling that has disrupted your life? I think not. And you are that sensitve to others opinions? And i'm sure that most people would realize seeing the title being jesus, they could have understood that there was a possiblity that it was about religion.

And concerning "this is a free country". This was not intended to offend you or anyone else and I was directing it to comments made by megan who does live in the america. And was referring to the freedom of speech. I should have made it more clear. Though if you read it ,it says "god loves you too megan". So if you were offended by this I do ask for your forgiveness. My intentions are not to offend you or anyone else but because I do live in america I do believe in the right of free speech. I believe everyone in the world should be allowed this right. (though I am aware that not everyone has the governing right to free speech) and I will exercise my right to free speech. Just as you do. How do you know that you are not offended someone with your comments as well?

To end I would like to say that I have no hard feelings against any comments already made or comments that will be made concerning this. My comments are not made to retaliate with anger but to debate peacefully with my opinion. No one is perfect or knows everything and everyone risks being wrong. And I wish everyone well.

It seems that americans live in a different world, here it is not christians who are abused for teaching god's words but more likely other faiths!!

I have seen (& I think one was chinarose) in other threads people mentioning their faith in god's healing power etc & have taken no offense, I see that as entirely appropriate in many instances, especially say where someone is alone, suggesting seeking out religious fellowship and counselling is a great idea.

My objection was to a thread in ehealth purely for religion. I am not upset by anyone's comments re my reply, we all have a right to our own opinions & to state them, but I would point out that ehealth is an international forum not a country.

Ah purple 333, you are right when you say that america is a different world. Any religion can be practiced with out harm to those participants... And it is probably why as this country has tried to become more like other nations, that we as christians are beginning to see so much intolerance for what was once normal christian practices. Now their are laws banning what was once embraced by all, the nativity seen has been pulled from public view! We can not recite prayers outloud in our class rooms ... When I went to school it wasjust as normal as saying the pledge of aligance ... !!! This is the way christianity had been treated all over the world...And now here were we thought that this christian nation would always remember its roots! We have been betrayed. But we are a different world, and this forum is based in this country so we do still have freedom of speech??? And we can still offer those in pain and suffering the peace of christ jesus especially in this type of forum ... Now why don't you just let it rest... Your way to stressed over this lily powell

Jesus/god/religion
U all should be thankful for god and jesus b/c god made every single one of us and gave his only begotten son for our sins! Even though u may have different religions u can calm urself and atleast put it a little nicer b.C believe it or not there r plenty of of people who believe in god and would love to spred his word (i one of them) god also created this earth and he knew there would be different believers but everyone of thoes different religions leads back to god no matter wut b.C he had to creat the people who started em! So think about it its a free country and there r so many freedoms in the world u should be thankful for the first ammendment that says we have freedom of religion! So even if ur not of this religion just be little kinder bout it! I respect other people for who they r and wut they believe in! :d and we r one nation under god!!!!! :d god bless! And to everyone else bless u too!

Okay you know what. I am a christian..... But I totally agree with purple. People do not come to this health site to hear about religion. They are here for questions relating to health. I cannot stand people who push their opinions and religion on others!!!!!It is so annoying......I dont push mine, so dont push yours.
As purple said there are sites for people to learn about christianity or whatever other religion that they wish, so this is just not the place for it.
And for the person who said "then why did you click on jesus" well, obviously because I was curious as to what in the world the health question could have been with that title.
I respect everyones ideas and beliefs and we should all do the same. But as I said before this is not the place. If you want to be a missionary then god bless you, but there is a time and a place and this is not it!!!!!
