Hi. Ive been suffering from depression and anxiety since sept 05. I am taking prozac and other medication to stop the anxiety. I can say that I am very very slowly picking up and last week had 3 continuous days which were good. However, this morning I feel really anxious and depressed again. I can't stop crying and just want to lock myself away from the world. Is it normal for this to happen or should I be feeling 100% by now. Can anyone relate to this and send me a reply please.

Thanks katie

Hi Sweetie!
Katie, it takes time for medications to get into your system. Also, it may take different types before the right or right combination of antidep. Can work. Please send me a private message and i'd be happy to talk to you. Took me a long time too girlfriend, but i'm not crying anymore!!!!!

Hi there,
i am sorry your feeling so low and like things are not getting better I have to say I am lucky my meds are doing great been on them since nov 05 not long and I felt different after a week it was very werid to think straight and not be crying and losing it! ( I am on lexapro)......I think the meds work differently on people some may find it works faster and other longer dont give up ,but my dr told me this is not a happy pill it is a start but you need life changes too I am working on that but shes right a pill isnt going to fix everything....Dont give up, give it some time ok...........

Take care and try to think possative and be as happy as you can will yourself to be :)
