Q: Localized Pressure in the Thoracic Cavity and Possible Cause
asked by: DoctorQuestion on January 15th, 2006
I have recently noticed a pressure under my right rib. It feels like when I was pregnant and the baby would move around and stick his foot under my rib. It is not painful just noticeable. It comes and goes. It does not wake me up in the night. Do you know what this could be.
Thank You

If you were pregnant there would be other symptoms present, too. You can visit your doctor to request that an ultrasound examination be performed. At least you will see if you are pregnant. I don’t want to speculate about the possible reasons for the pressure under your right rib-there could be a million!
