Sick With the Flu

I am sick with the flu on christmas eve all! Crying
or Very sad
i had a flu vaccine, but I still have some kind of virus?!
Either way, I am wondering if this is normal? I remember feeling like this before when I was younger. This morning I got up and ate some soup and then I took some acetaminophen to reduce my fever and help with aches and pains. I feel exhausted and weak which I understand is normal, but a little while after I took my medicine, I broke out in a sweat and felt extremely hot which I figured was the fever breaking, but then I stood up to use the bathroom and I felt so weak and I felt like I was about to pass out. I rushed outside to get some cold fresh air. I still felt very nervous and off balance. I have a 3 year old so I immediately called my aunt who is an rn and she said I am okay, that I am sick and my body is weak and fighting off a virus. I couldn't drive, so she came and picked me up. I have anxiety really bad too. Now I am a nervous wreck that I may feel this way again! Please anyone who knoes anything about this reply please! Much appreciated!

The flu shot covers you against influenza. The flu shot does not cover you against

* The common cold
* Pneumonia (unless it's a result of influenza)
* Bronchitis
* Any other respiratory illness that is not influenza

Furthermore, it is possible to come down with the flu even after vaccination because perhaps the vaccine did not fully protect you or because the strain of the virus you contracted was not included in the vaccine. ( the flu virus mutates and changes every year )

I hope this helps you, if you have not helped yourself out yet.
