I am 23 years old and the dream of my
life, since I was a child, is to be a
fighter pilot in the air force.
I am about to enroll in the army's flight
school, but there is one little problem
that puts me out of the game: 0.25 of
myopia in each eye! (since I was 15 or
so, and it neither got lower nor got
higher so far)
every optometrist said I see perfectly and
I don't need glasses, but the optometrist
of the air force said I can only fly
helicopters because I have to wear
glasses, of -0.25 dioptry on each eye!!!
In the eye examination I could read the
last line of numbers/letters with each eye
separatedly at every doctor/optometrist,
but in the air force it seems like the
last line was half the size of the civil
optometrist last line (i'm serious) and I
couldnt read it without the aid of the
0.25 or 0.50 lenses.
That's is so little but enough to not let
me fly an f-16 or f-15 that I want so
much...
Is there anything I could do to resolve
this problem? Any medicine? Any eye
drops to use before the test at the
optometrist?
Any natural herbs? I still have about 6
months before the next eye exam - the
final one...I'm desperated for a solution!
