yeah. Don't use it. It'd be like naming your little girl "tramp" or "bimbo".

i know a song entitled "jezabel" too, only it's not very well-known. It also speaks of a woman who goes and plays guys' hearts for fun.

And nothing to do with whether or not your child will have problems in life because of the name. The only thing that matters is what you want! It's your baby! You can do whatever you want and not think of them.

UM yeah... Not a good name. we nick named my friend that, and basically she likes the stuff that comes out of a mans whoo hoo. NOT A GOOD NAME in this era. It means woman who likes man... And thats putting it nicely.

NO NO NO do not do this to your child!!!

P.S. I know my wording sounds corny but the sinsorship of this website wouldnt like me if I said what I meant.

There's more than a little truth to the notion that your kid will emulate their name. She may not take on prostitution as a career but you can't be basicaly called a hooker all your life and not have it affect you. I agree it's a pretty sounding name, very feminine. However eventually your daughter will grow up and learn what her name means.

I LOVE the name Jezabel. I don't think you cancel out this name just because of the one person in the bible. Look at all the other people in the bible who have done evil things and their names still managed to be popular just look at Joshua

Joshua led the siege of Jericho, then tortured, enslaved and killed the people

Jezabel isn't just the name of a biblical figure however, It is the name of a profession. It would be no different than calling your daughter Harlot or Hooker or Tart.
