Stomach, Ulcers, Gastric Bypass, Colon Disorders Answer A151
A slight temperature may indicate that you are fighting an infection, but this cannot be confirmed as caused by a type of Rickettsia. Most doctors treat temperatures with paracetamol or aspirin, both of which will help lower the temperature. But before any treatment, you should first confirm a diagnosis.

Furthermore, digestive disorders/symptoms are not typical symptoms of Rickettsia infections. High temperature and exanthema (skin rash), however, are more commonly present symptoms during a Rickettsia-infection. A Rickettsia infection has to be serologically confirmed via blood test or with agent isolation. Ricketts is then treated with antibiotics.

Most doctors will agree that mild constipation can be treated at home with the help of a laxative supplement (tea, capsule) or suppository. In order to seek a diagnosis, first seek the help of your family physician. And then, you can proceed to a specialist's office, if necessary.
