you might have crabs, you can pick it up by having sex with another person and will be able to spread it yourself, you should see your doctor and get sorted with treatment Smile)

crabs lol... no

its called shaving irritation... your shaving too close and the hairs are thicker there at the bottom, so your essentialy leaving bristles down there..

i shaved... once... ok twice... itches like mad everytime

wax instead... doesnt hurt.

much.

I have been trolling the internet for 12 months to find out what may be the cause of my itchy vaginal area, have seen my doctor on numerous occassions, had numerous tests, used almost every cream and substance known to man to get rid of my itch which i have had since november 2008.

I am post menapausal, not a virgin, have changed my underwear, soap, tried no soaps, even no underwear, tried different toot papers,do not have baths, looked at my diet and made various changes and experiments and still theitchis there.

In an answer to Creamy girl , ithink you will find that the littlelumps thathave formed, are due to scratching and nothing else and they are itchy kos the whole area is itchy.

So i am at a total loss as to why it is itchy, apart from maybe i am post menapausal. I can also state that my vaginal area isnt what you would call dry, it is quite normal in fact in. No discharge, no smell that isnt normal just bloody itchy. Cant blame the sex these days for it kos i am not as active as i once was. Some days i feel it is going to drive me crazy.......

help I've got the same problem, virgin and it's been going on for sometime now! haven't shaved ever, but thinking of trimming it. I have no discharges whatsoever, just itchy pubic hair areas and sometimes even my clitoris is itchy. my mother doesn't know and I'm still young to contact a doctor without her.

this is driving me crazy ! i am sexually active and have gotten tested and am clean... my gyno suggested only using a new razor head down there, using gold bond powder, and wearing cotton panties.. i've done all three and my vagina still itches almost all the time! it's barely where the hair is either.. it's the lips and folds... i've stopped shaving as much and i guess after reading these i'll stop using soap (even though i now use organic soap) but what if that doesn't work either?? i don't have really much discharge or any abnormal discharge and it doesn't burn when i pee so i'm pretty positive i don't have a yeast infection. i looked up vulvodynia and it seems to match what we're all going through but all i've read seems like there's nothing to do about it ! has anyone figured out what the heck is going on??

Yeast infections, don't always cause burning when you pee, thats a urinary tract infection, u should pee always after sex for girls.
Often women get a thick discharge when they are ovulating, its normal. if it smells or are yellowish color it COULD be a yeast infection. If you are sexually active and young and can't talk to your mom, then go to planned parent hood. But from my 45 years of knowledge, and i am going threw meno-pause and it causes problems with a dry vagina, then it would make sense as you are a teenager that you would have slight changes in your body at that time, due to your hormones. If its just itchy and irritating at certain, times of the month the month, but if it chronic, get to a gynecologist and if your young please find a female doctor that will make you feel more comfortable.
I bet if u talked to your moms that they may have some answers for you good luck. If u shave you will get itchy, it the way it works!

I had the same problem for 1.5 years and after being misdiagnosed as BV by two doctors, I finally self-diagnosed and my problem is SOLVED!. No more itchiness, pain, or discharge. I was told this was "normal" for someone of child bearing age and that there was nothing I could do. Boy, were they wrong.

My symptoms were the same as those found in trichomoniasis. This is an STI/STD, and I thought I didn't have it because my paps have always come back clean and my husband got tested before we got married and we both came back negative across the board. So, come to find out, this STI doesn't produce symptoms in men, only women, and this STI won't show up on a PAP, hence the improper diagnosis for BV.

So I went to the Dr. and requested Metronidazole, an antibiotic to be taken by mouth, 500mg 2x per day for 7 days to treat trich. Problem solved! No more itchiness and smell. I had a little discharge, so I treated myself for a yeast infection. Monistat 3-day treatment and I'm 100% back to normal. If this works for you, your partner must also get treated or else he'll just give it back to you.

Ladies, please read up on trich and know that my prescription cost me only $5. And Monistat was about $20 at the drug store. So for $25, I am back to normal!! No more scratching until I bleed, no more painful sex, no more gross discharge.

I hope this helps some of you. I read about trich on another forum and did my research and Metronidazole worked for me.

you may have Bacterial Vaginosis
i have had the same problem for about 4 months. at first it was just an unusual discharge and a little itching and i got what i thought were yeast infections like evrey other month. my docter diagnosed me with BACTERIAL VAGINOSIS. the symptoms are the same as a yeast infection. the only problem is oncec u have it you are most likely goin gto battle with it for your entire life. after i was diagnosed it got worse. i was prescribed anitbiotics and some type of ovule that goes in vagina but it never went away. my sex life is ruined because it. the itch is so annoying! it only itches bad at night. i would reccomend not using feminen hygene products like summers eve and douches, it only irritates it. dont use soap on your vagina and eat lots a yogurt with LIVE CULTURES. i really hope this clears up soon!
