Why Is My Vagina Itchy???? (Page 8)

June 6th, 2011
Itching Vagina
Vaseline really does help. Mine has been itching pretty horrible in the early morning when i wake up or when im ready to go to bed and i put vaseline on it in the morning today when it was itching and it doenst itch right now. Hopefully it continues. I looked at my clitoris and i have a slight tear so im thinking its from having sex too rough or something but it really itches around my vagina (still on the skin) but not inside... is this weird at all? i didnt shave cause it usually makes it worse.

Itchy itchy itchy
Help me please Sad

I've had this itch on one side of my vag since I was 8 years old, my mom knew about it but she has passed away, I'm 15 and I kinda need help figuring it out. I have a white creamy discharge usually, and my vag smells pretty bad sometimes. The itch has since spread to my clitoris. I have constant UTI's, and I shave. I don't know if the shaving has anything to do with it, but if I don't shave the itchiness gets worse! I don't suspect an STD because when I was 8 I was a virgin. Could I possibly be suffering from a yeast infection? The itch gets bad on my period, during night, and if I'm running or something. I don't have a shower right now, but even when I had a shower my itch was still there. Maybe someone else has the same symptoms and can help me? Sad my gyno is just so expensive, but if push comes to shove I can go see her

TRY THIS; cost approx $30 u will need Vitamin Store as they r only outlet that will carry what u will need.
what u want is ultra high culture counts of Pro-Biotics ; search to find one that u can take 5 days at least 100 billion cultures counts daily (NOT million)
if u have had many UTIs then u have taken lots of meds like antibiotics and they kill bad germs BUT they kill lots of good floura that u need
this may be a huge surprise for u, (not a guarantee) by giving your immune system a kick start but your immune system has these probiotics in the TRILLIONS or certainly should and it sounds like yours does not
best luck

this is a response to an earlier girl but I hope it will help so I don't have to re-write
please talk to mom and this is why;
if u r 13; r u going to ask 10 yr olds to help u
mom has 1000 times your experience

I will give u this, your vagina is SELF CLEANING and every month your uterus has to build a NEST or home for the possibility that u get impregnated and when u don't it has to LIQUIFY that home and discharge it from your body. now thru out the month your cervix produces fluids that r appropriate for the particular time and they change from clear to yellow to next-to-nothing to thick-n-slick etc

NOW AS TO A YEAST INFECTION; it will itch terribly and be somewhat like cottage cheese and have an odor
as to other problems such as vaginosis which is completely different from yeast because yeast is fungal and requires ANTI-FUNGALS and the other is BACTERIAL and requires antibiotics

and then u could go on to many other possibles

SO IF IN THE FUTURE u have a question then u need only be specific and ask and there r lots of really smart people willing to help BUT DON'T FORGET mom is already there and has already been where u r at long time ago as has your aunts, grandmas etc.
best wishes to u

Vaginal itch
My vagina has been a little itchy lately for like maybe 2 weeks I got tested for STDS less than a month ago. It's not and itch that I can't stop itchingjust feels uncomfortable. I have a lil whitedischarge as normal, not even to sure how cottage cheese looks but from the way your describing it it's not like that. And it doesn't smell smells like it always does. What could be wrong?

hi, u most likely have a yeast infection
here r some things u can do to fix it now and in future

go to vitamin store (not other stores) buy the highest probiotics u can get and take 100 BILLION cultures daily not million;
NEXT get some extra virgin coconut oil at vitamin store
NOW the coconut oil will help protect against the yeast and can be used as a salve with PROBIOTICS (a capsule or 1/2 cap) mixed in THIS IS ONE THING U CAN PUT INTO your vagina and can use as a sex lube also (don't add the probiotics for a sex lube)

NEXT how to fix the yeast; u really want to get it treated and if u have bf then get him treated so as not to just give it back after u cured yourself BECAUSE
men r not bothered much by the yeast
THERE R otc products like vagistat or monistat etc but try to look and read the label to see what the ACTIVE INGREDIENT IS because there r 3 main ones and switching between them is helpful to keep from building a resistance to the product

A BETTER alternative is a prescription Fluconozole also called Difucan (u can get w/o rx on net) the typical dose; a single 150 mg pill

for all young girls; see mom because this happens to all girls and she has a 100 times more experience AND IT HAS nothing to do with messing with boys so don't worry about that.

yeast is something u have all the time; so it is a very delicate balance and that is why NOT TO DOUCHE because u just mess it up, the extra virgin coconut oil is ok

NOW if u ever need antibiotics; THEY can cause yeast infection so for the future; keep some probiotics on hand, wait 3 hrs after taking antibiotics and take the probiotics AS THEY WILL CANCEL each other out if u take at the same time and u waste all that effort/$

The problem is deciding if it is yeast U NEED antifungal
or if it is bacterial U NEED antibiotics
THEN there is herpes etc. u need antivirals
best to u

so dr evaluation is best but once u know what is happening yeast at least is easy fix

Itchy
I have had this itch for 3 days now. I have been trying to get pregnant, but I still use supositories and I clean the inside really well. Could this itch be do to cleaning too much, having too much sex, or the supositories? I tell my boyfriend I have a itch and I need him to scratch it. For the most part when he inside me it feels better.

hi, it feels better because bf is scratching it for u but that is not best way to accomplish permanent fix of the itch (but a nice way to itch without scratch)

HERE is something u can do and will benefit your body to deal with pregnancy;
go to vitamin store ;buy enough probiotics to take daily 100 billion (NOT million) curtures for a month, then cut half for month etc
while there get some extra virgin coconut oil and mix a capsule of the probiotics into couple tablespoons of the oil and use as salve inside and out AND U CAN use the oil for sex lube as it will protect both u and he from furth passing back yeast infection

AS TO your question; DON'T use douche and don't clean it out as the vagina is self cleaning. It has natural bacteria and yeast present HOPEFULLY your itch is over cleaning or light case of yeast both of which will be benefited by the probiotics and e.v. coconut oil BTW it is eatable just like any oil; olive, peanut etc

good luck

hi, first time sex often does not go real great so join the club and don't feel bad,
as to itching, u may have tried to hard and it may just be chaffed, use some anti itch cream or hydrocortozone cream both of which u can get in dollar store if u don't already have a drawer full of such
if it goes away= great
have u had yeast infections so as to know what they r like IF YEAST there r lots of products pharmacy area

it would be frustrating to get a std the first time out and I doubt u did
best wishes

Vaginal itching/burning
Im agreeing with nearly everyone, im 15, im a virgin, and my vagina has been itching for about 3 weeks. I dont want to tell my mum because i know she will jump to conclusions about what i do with my boyfriend. I read a site that said it can be brought on by stress if it is a yeast infection, i did suffer alot of stress about 3 wweekss ago.. has anyoe had a diagnosis? I really dont want to tell my mum, and my boyfriend thinks i should get it checked out. It itches, so i itch, then he burns like hell ! And its like , there is a cut, but i cant see one... And am i the only one that sees a bit of dryness? Im not quite sure, but i have put cream on, and it soothes for a few minutes, then back to burning again.. What to do? I wash everyday, and im very clean 'down there' but recently, even soap and water burns !

hi, first of all; do not wash your vagina and never with soap, WASH gently the outside with soap, and inside with just water.
NEXT tell mom; this has nothing to do with playing with boys although boyfriend should get treated and there are yeast treatments in all pharmacy areas of stores.
should be easy to find; just follow the instructions

mom has 100x your experience and this is very common to girls and women.

during this time; stop eating all sugar and that includes carbohydrates so no soda, candy, snacks, pasta, bread etc. this will help because yeast eats sugar or carbohydrates

also buy some probiotics and u can mix with yeast meds cream and insert inside to stop the itching , also of course outside. if u can afford also in pharmacy area look for extra virgin coconut oil and that u can both eat and use as a salve and add capsule of probiotics also inside and out. tastes good too Yeast doesn't like it
. . hope that helps

it is possible but our immune system protects us and if it bothered him he would get THRUSH this is a heavy white coating of fungi in the mouth.
I would not worry about it because if it were bad enough it would have an unpleasant odor.
NOW PLEASE let mom help
best wishes to u

he said his mouth seems fine, so i guess its nothing wrong with him,,,also, it only seems to be a problem around night time? in the daytime its mostly fine :S And i did how someone suggested further up... about washing the outside with soap, and the inside with just water, even that burns.

that was my suggestion and please stick to it as the vagina is self cleaning and most things u put in there will only damage the delicate balance of fungi, bacteria etc.
I hope u will let mom help u
ALSO something for your future; buy some Pro-Biotics in pharmacy section along with some extra virgin coconut oil and this is safe to put inside vagina, mix a few tablespoons with a capsule of probiotics, should stop the itching , u can eat it like any oil only difference is that it taste good and it should help soothe your mucus tissues and in the future anytime u feel u might be getting yeast, do it again, the yeast does not like the coconut oil and the probiotics love the yeast and eat it, sort of a win / win
take care

I need help. I'm 14 and I've had on and off itching for the past week. I'm not a virgin, but we've used protection every time. The last time we had sex was on Thursday and since then it's gotten a little worse. I have regular discharge, no cottage cheese clumps and I'm not bumpy or sore. I try to take showers daily and I use soap down there (My friend said that could be the problem, is she possibly right?). The last time I shaved down there was Monday. I don't change my underwear more than once a day because I don't discharge much. This is really scaring me because i have no idea what's wrong Sad. I'm afraid to tell my mom about the itching because she's been pissed lately. Could it be a yeast infection, vulvodynia, vaginosis, or a trigg? Sad

My vagina has been itching in like 6 or more months now, every part of it. It itches like mad, everyday, whatever time. But mostly on night time and in the morning. I have lots of discharges, liquid kinda sticky but not so sticky ones. They are sometimes transparent or yellowish. I also have this odor for who knows how long, even right after washing it. I don't have the cottage cheese discharge, so im not sure what it is. Never seen a doctor about this yet.

My vagina has been very itchy for about the past week. When I shower and wash down there the relief is out of this world but I guess the rubbing has inflamed my clitoris. So tonight, I melted sum suppositories for yeast infections and rubbed it down there and I rubbed sum baby eczema cream with aloe on it and it really really helped! I also used Dove soap for sensitive skin cause its unscented and it has helped. Hopefully this helps ladies cause I know how you all feel!

VAGINAL ITCH, NO DISCHARGE, NO INFECTION, NO DISEASE
I JUST WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW SO THIS HELPS YOU:

I wanted to share this because of the traumatic experiences I had with doctors. I had vaginal itching for a long time, until I bled and even couldn't walk. I was sitting with no pants or underwear in front of a blowing fan.

Here's how I got to that point:

I was found to have BV, which was treated. Then my itchiness came back, and I was treated again for BV. But I still itched. So I had a culture done a second time by my primary physician, who FOUND NOTHING. After a while, I went to a gynecologist. She checked for signs of herpes, and at the end of the check-up, told me I probably had herpes (even though I had NO signs). I got a blood test. No herpes, no other STI's/STD's and the culture I also got showed NOTHING. So I was stressed. She told me, after all the stress she caused, that it was probably an allergic reaction. My uncle, who lives in Germany, said that these doctors were incompetent and had no right to make me feel this way about myself. I was so itchy. I could barely walk, there was no discharge, no smell, no nothing. And guess what? He decided to put me on some medication for yeast infection (since he was far away, he decided to test me based on my reactions to the medicine). I figured I had nothing to lose since no one else could help me, and by this time, I was sad, stressed, and scared. Guess what. After using Clotrimazole 7-day treatment in and around my vagina, it went away, and it has been gone for months. I just wanted to share for people out there who have been treated badly and can't seem to find anything that helps. JUST BECAUSE IT DOESN"T SHOW UP ON THE CULTURE DOESN"T MEAN YOU DON"T HAVE IT. I don't know if other vaginal yeast medication will work or even work in the same way. I used Clotrimazole and it helped me. So If you went through something similar to me, I encourage you to rethink possible allergies and just "dealing with it," as my doctors told me.

I'm 17 and i haven't had my period yet but its coming up soon. Ive been itching for a couple of days now and I have the discharge. I really can't help but scratch it a little bit and when I do it turns red and kind of swells up. Also in some places it looks like it's dry because the skin is tore and sore. I didn't think a yeast infection could be this bad. Any advice?
