Posted: 01-12-06 9:32pm

------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------

I am scheduled to have a hysterectomy in 3 weeks but I just took a home pregnancy test and it was postitive. I have an 18 month old and a 7 year old and I was finished having children. There were complications with my last child and my husband and I decided that we were finished. I have a prolapsed uterous and endometriosis which has caused pain on a daily basis. What should I do???? Any advice???

Hysterectomy Answer A141
With the gynecological diseases present in your history (CERVICAL DYSPLAYSIA, CYSTS, ENDOMETRIOSIS) coupled with your decision not to have children any more, you can immediately proceed with a hysterectomy. Don’t worry about the actual pregnancy; once your uterus is removed, your gynecological disorders should be tabled, including the pains associated with this current pregnancy.
