Q: Adddicted to Cocaine

I'm pregnant 34wks I was using cocaine for some time. I found out I was pregnant when I was (18 wks) almost 5 months. It was very hard for me to quit but I did it. Last time I used cocaine was when I was 6 mths 1/2.
Know that i'm 8 months I feel very confused, scared. I have never ask a doctor or some I know about this. I'm emberazed to ask. My question is this ...

Is my baby coming out addicted to cocaine even though I stopped when I was 6 1/2 months?

If she is addicted will she have withdraws and how long it will take for the baby to be okay?

So sorry this post hasn't been addressed.

I am not a medical practitioner or an expert on pregnancy, but you may have endangered your baby. I urge you to seek out expert advice from your doctor or obstetrician. Go to a clinic and ask about this. Do not be embarrassed, this is for the well-being of your child.

You might also want to see about a support group in your locale that can help you with your recovery from cocaine and with your pregnancy. I wish you the best of luck.

i think you should definitely speak to your doctor. Your baby won't be "coming out" addicted but it could have some effects on his health.

I have been where you are. I used cocaine up til my 8th month then quit. My baby was born with no withdrawl because I had quit when I did. Your baby should be fine in that way. I was blessed in the way that my son -thank the lord- was unaffected by my coke use. There are risks of physical abnormalties though. I pray that your baby will be healthy. If mine was, I figure yours has a good chance too!
