I am sorry this is happening johnnie....Not sure if it would be myoclonic, there is usually not fatigue afterward....

I saw on another thread that you have a slightly abnormal eeg, but treatments have not helped. What treatment have you tried? What does your doctor think these are? Do you see a neurologist?

I am not sure how long this has gone on. I hope you can get answers soon. It sounds like these interfere with everyday life. Keep looking for answers. I cannot say what they are, I am not a medical person. It does sound concerning and you need it to stop, though....

Hi kayak I am on epilim 2000mgs per day and lamotrigine they have varied medicines and dosages but to no avail I have suffered for about 8 years but it is very bad at present there is a chance it could be heart related as I used to suffer from palpitations and when I jerk when trying to sleep when heart and chest tightens very frightening. I am seeing neurologist and he thinks something else maybe causing it so I am due another eeg sleep deprived so hopefully we can catch this when I am jerking

I hope you get answers! Have you seen a cardiologist yet? Hoping you can find the cause and have the jerks stop!
