crawling under skin
I have the same symptoms that have started in my right temple. From previous visits to my doctor I am getting my vitamin B-12 s level tested tommorow. You will be amazed at how your body and mind are effected by B-12 deficiancy. Google it and check for yourself.

skin crawling
hello I have been reading everyones story but I must say I had the best laugh of all with the physician who cant spell maybe they just have a new spelling technique in Nova Scotia....anyway I have had this problem since my early 20's with pain I was told by my physician I had some form of pluerisy, I was prescribed celebrex and it went away. Now I'm in my forties and its back, but because I now have anxiety they are telling me that its also a part of that, which yes I have to admit when i get anxious my skin does start that strange feeling again and when I'm cold. It's always in my back, arms, shoulders, and neck. I also have muscle spasms maybe people should check to see if they have anxiety, or some problems related to your muscles because I also have degenerative disc disease that I started with in my twenties when this whole problem started to begin with. I hope I helped you all out a little.

yeah i get it in my legs but i dont worry about it like you guys. if it were serious we would be dead by now. its just a vein pissed off that feels like dancing. oh and i dont think its related to panic or stress because i am neither of the two. the fact that the symptoms seem worse during your attacks would be because your bloods really pumpin during that attack and id imagine that could increase the twitch. i suggust rubbing the area, working the limb or part of body its happening in, and not to freak over it because its really not serious. ive had it for years and im 23 and i just got curious. didnt find any solid info yet but screw it. i use to think it was a minor blood clot or something clogging crap up, which would be completely natural and less scary than it sounds. your heart is amazing and can do more than you know. relax and smoke a doobie.

oo yeah and the doctors answer to everything is anxiety... i read like 20 of the comments on here and you linked it to aniexty. lame. maybe in your case but in my legs when im laying around being a bum it happems. not for long either. you can see it twitch i think, i cant remember. its been a while since ive looked. just massage it, karate chop it, be rough on it. how long do your symptoms last for? i get mine from anywhere to 2 minutes to half an hour. well good luck to us all. how cool would it be if we all found out it was some breed of worm never discovered swimming through our viens eating and when they run into other worms its a tight squeeze to get by and the vein twitches. or maybe theyre humping?

crawling under the skin
I get it when I'm very tired and have been sitting still for too long. In fact I have it in my right ankle right now (it's 4am and I've been working 20 hours without a break).
My suggestion ('cause it always works for me): go to bed, get a good nights rest, if you can't get to sleep, have a warm milk drink before you go to bed. And get some exercise.
I'm just about to take my own advice. It always works.

same here.
Thank god i found this. becuase i didn't know how to explain it either. The blocked vein or artery description is the best one, it feels like blood just bubbles threw a artery or vein like when there no liquid left in a straw, pulses and twitches for a second to a few seconds,, but it is the most uncomfortable feeling, it feels like it s going to make something else in my body stop working , and since i do have mitral valve prolapose and i would say i have partied allot on my life , and still drink allot on the weekend, its not helping my heart work any better. I would like to think its all anxiety becuase i have been in the e.r. atleast 20 times thinking something really bad was going on and they would diagnose me with anxiety and palpitations.....
my latest problem has been a really sharp pain in my left arm. its not acute, its actually chronic and last for a long time, so weird how your mind works , i start to feel angina with it when holding my arm for two long..
i also get a feeling of an empty heart..
where the heart feels like its just stops flowing flood for a few seconds, hate that one most. but the twitching thing still feels as if theirs soemthing cloggging my blood system..
has anyone been updated on why the twitching happens.??

finally its my turn,
first off as for collembola, (springtail) don't know much about them, but what i could tell from the internet is these bugs are quite large, and eat dead vegetation and fungi. I can point out that they do share familiar body shapes to flees, which might explain the bitting thing.

Ok were was I, oh ya. I have at least three of the multitude of symptoms that people are describing.

I have:
1. Surface itchy skin (felling of bug crawling on top of my flesh)
2. Short term skin and muscle twitch
3. felling of vein movement or increase of flow or something large flowing through them

I would like to say I'm glad I Found this site or that it relieves me that others have my infliction, But would the furthest from the truth, I would be glad if someone actually found some answer. Thank you to those who did and replied back with your results. I prefer the result feedback over the conspiracy theories.

I, age 36, have had this unknown condition for more years then I can remember. I have moved from the insect paranoia, to denial, to except with continuos internet searches.

I have come to the conclusion That I have overly sensitive skin. I can feel when the hairs move and when the blood pulses as for the twitches I just thought that was normal. it wasn't until my grey hairs started to increase did the external itch get worse now I have to constantly cut my nails otherwise i'll keep scratching until I bleed. I have also knowtest that the less hair the less external itch. its either that or I may have RLS except all over my body. and it seems to be getting worse the older I get, and find the tingle/tickle/itch is now accruing quit rapidly.

I can only recomend if your symptoms are any of these you can try what I do
[] closer to the skin area then
-keep bed sheets extra clean
-keep skin from drying out
-shorten or remove hair
-take a shower before going to bed
[] deeper toward muscle
-try to increase movement through out the day and see if that helps (less sitting, driving, laying around, stand in one spot)
-exercise till they hurt ( run, Mt. Bike what ever)
[] as for the vein movement/blood flow thingy
- well its a bit freaky but your on your own on that one
hope it helps. I will write back if I find out any info, But I'm anti Dr.

Crawling under the skin feeling
I had many thoughts while reading all these, but won't chime in on all that right now. I mainly wanted to mention that a few posters described scabies. While that certainly doesn't explain the majority of peoples' symptoms, it does seem to sound like what a few here are experiencing. One key thing about scabies is that they are active mainly at night. Hope that helps someone. I'll post more later.

Crawling under the skin. I recently noticed this condition some 3 weeks or so ago. At first I thought it was some ants crawling around my leg, as I was in a wooded area, with my bare feet on the ground, to absorb the earth's energy field. Later on, the crawling became more pronounced. It got to my face, shoulders, neck, legs, and toes, during my 4 to 7am tai chi exercises. I was not the least alarmed as I thought it was the chi, (energy) circulating all over my body. Then I consulted a Tai Chi instructor and he told me to be careful. I consulted my kungfu friend and he said it could be a pre-stroke signal. That's how I got to this site.

Lemon Power
I too have suffered from skin rashes or blotches for about 3 weeks, some months back. It became very itchy and I had to wake up a few times a night to scratch it. I even had to take cold showers several times to remove the heat in my body. The itchy blotches will subside after each bath. It was driving me crazy. One day, I strongly decided to confront it and finished it off. In Taipei, during a medical exhibition fair, last year, a young Taiwanese boy visited our booth to do an oxidative stress test. He had amazingly good score, in fact an excellent score, and he looked healthy. He attributed it to taking freshly squeezed lemon juice with warm water, every morning.
That is exactly what I did, at the end of my 3rd week of rashes ordeal. Sour as it may be, I ate a whole lemon that morning, and thereafter everyday, for a while. That same day, I noticed that the itchy patches have greatly subsided for the most part. In fact, it was completely gone on the 2nd day.

As for the tingling and crawlies, I noticed that whenever I touch some part of my hand or body, to send chi there, another part of my limbs will resonate with some tingling. Whenever this happens, I'll invariably end up stroking the tingling area, as my latest response. This is to smooth out whatever temporary chi or energy blockages that may arise. I am addressing whatever health issues I have as they arise.

I have had many sports related injuries before and this one year, afer I discovered chi power and crystals power, I have addressed those issues with tremendous results. Get some raw quartz or tourmaline or some volcanic rock and it will aid with whatever health issues you have. Gently stroked the affected area with the stones. Cannot get any simpler than that. It is especially good for circulatory problems. Tumbled stones can even bring instant relief to itchy or inflammed eyes. Crystals have the power to absorbed negative energy, and partially relieved whatever issues you may have. In fact, I have developed a habit of sleeping on a big piece of white quartz nightly. I find it extremely beneficial.

As for medication, I have never taken any for the last 35 years.

Be careful describing something as a crawling sensation... It seems that doctors immediately dismiss it as delusions of parasitosis and dismiss you as crazy after that. Just a friendly heads up

Twitch, bite sensation...but nothing there
Hello everyone, I am online researching a sensation like getting a bite and then you look and there is nothing there, somewhat like a twitch or a pinch feeling. I usually get them on top of my left foot or upper thigh seems to stay on my left side even on my arm and had one on my forehead the other night which scared me to start taking a baby bayer aspirin daily thinking it is my veins starting to clot!...I plan on mentioning this to my Dr. on next visit just trying to research a bit online to see if this is normal? I have read here that some may feel it being possibly a worm?..does everyone on here eat sushi? or have had it in the past year?
I was eating it quite often, but haven't had any in the past 6mo. I am hoping it is not that!!..and just a nervous twitch that comes on with age.
