I've been on plaquenil and methotrexate......Still not well.....To make a long story short, Dr. Decided it was time to start iv therapy on mon, jan 16th. The medication is called rituximab or rituxian. Has anyone taken this? Tell me all about it please! I guess I will go once a week for 3 weeks and hopefully not again for a year if all goes well.

Another issue that i've been wondering about is rashes and bumps......I get the discoid rashes on my head and lose my hair there. I do hope that it will grow back. ???? Last year I lost patches of hair and it looks like it's growing back. Now it's happening again. I also get these pimple like bumps at the top of the back of my head/neck. It's nothing like a pimple where you can 'pop' them....They don't pop!!! I also get these on my face. Just wondering if this is the lupus rash. I do have a patch type rash at the tip of my nose.....Looks funny. It's not risen or anything nor is it like a pimple, it looks like an abrasion. Not sure what it is??? I've also broke out badly on my back with pimple like bumps. Almost cyst like. I'm 38 and I have to deal with acne like problems on my face and back. Is this lupus?
