Burning

My boyfriend & I have been having sex for the past 6 months. In the beginning everything was perfectly fine, but a couple months ago I started experiencing pain, redness and burning. During sex, everything is fine but afterwards these things occur. And this only happens if we have intercourse. Since i'm on birth control, we do not regularly use condoms. But, when we do, I don't experience these problems. Also, we used ky jelly (i think this brand or astroglide?) and we think it started happening sometime after this. Could it have caused a problem?

I looked up semen allergies online and these are some of the symptoms of it, but I really have no idea. Could it be a yeast or bladder infection or even an std? My boyfriend & I have talked about this and really don't think it could be an std. I have only been with one other person & have been tested at my gyno visits. (the same with my boyfriend now- hes only had 2 other partners who were checked) however, this past partner cheated on me, although i'm not sure if he had intercorse with someone else. But, if it was and std wouldn't I experience these problems in the beginning with my partner now and my doctor would have found it, right? (sorry if this isn't enough info) please help!!

I think that you have an std or uti. Even though uti is a form of an std; it's not as serious, at first, if treated. It could be and std because most std symptoms have painful intercourse. Some std's show no symptoms at first, but then later come out like herpes. Not saying that u have herpes, just an example. I highly recommend that you go to the doctor and get a pap test done, because it can be numerous things going on with u. You and ur partner should go at the same time and explain to the doctor that u guys don't use condoms and it's a possibility that u have an std. Guys can get uti too u know. So I may not be as bad as u think. But it's always helpful to check it out

I say stop using the lube I used ky jelly and every time I use it I get something down there it was even the water based one so you have to be careful with those. You also have to be careful with what you use to wash yourself down there never use the summers eve stuff that gave me the most painful uti I thought I was going to die!. Do you have any wierd looking or smelling discharge?? You can also get caca from tampons, wearing thongs, wiping yourself in the wrong direction. I got bv from a tampon!! Blah i've had everything but an std. Some women are just more prone to getting infections down there than others. I get a yest infection every single time right before my period! Since your fine when you use a condom it could even be something your boyfriend is using on him. Do you use a lube when you use a condom??

Here are some of the symptoms i've had from infections!
Bv- very itchy red irritated, some discharge, smelly!
Yeast- itchy kind of hurts, ikki discharge
uti- hurts to/burning pee, feel like having to pee very bad but only a little comes out, pelvic area hurting

i'm not going to diagnose anything, because every infection down there has the same symptoms, your best bet is to go to the doctor and have them to a vaginal exam!!
