Well, I wouldn't recommend the atkins diet, because its bad for your heart, but maybe try something similar to it, like I find the best diets is to make up your own.
Maybe try, cutting your empty carbs in half, like chips, rice, cakes, etc. Sub those for other carbs like those in fresh veggies.
Also I have found out that most of our weight gain comes from what we drink not what we eat so maybe drink less soda, sugar based juices, etc. Try to exercise about 2-3 times a week, whether it be brisk walking after or before work or hitting the gym. I also have a 45 minute ab workout tape that I never use anymore and if you want it I can send it to you.
