Q: Antibiotics And Bc Pills

I know that when you take antibiotics it effects your pills and you should have unprotected sex, but will it mess with your period and stuff too? Is taking antibiotics while on birth control, kind of like missing the bc pills that you take while on the antibiotics? How long after you get off of the antibiotics should you wait until you can have unprotected sex again? Thanks in advance.

Wait 7 days after your antibiotics to resume sexual relations :) it takes 7 full days of pill use to get protection back. Most womens cycles stay the same even with antibiotic use, and some have some breakthrough spotting, so it really depends on your body.
