Q: W/ Uti Can I Wait to See Dr.?

If I do have a uti can I try the natural remedies, like cranberry juice and lots of water first, before I go to the doctor? I don't want to take antibiotics because it will mess with my birth control pills. The main sympotoms I have is frequent urination (but I have been drinking a lot of water since the first time I peed this morning and it hurt a little at the end), it doesn't really hurt anymore, there's just a little bit of pressure in my abdomen, and the funny smell is gone. Are there degrees of uti? Could I have just barely had one or something? The real question, though, was- can I wait to see if the cranberry juice helps it before I go to a Dr.? Thanks ahead of time.

Yep That's Uti
But I won't say don't go to the doctor because cranberry juice and water makes the hurting go away. That doesn't mean it's really all the way gone. Which means you may be drinking cranberry juice forever. But I do suggest in the mean time to drink plenty of cranberry juice and water just like you are doing to keep flushing all that bacteria out of your body. But what worked for me was some of these pills that walgreens sell for like 7 dollars for uti; they really work. They also sell the uti tests after you finish taking the pills to see if it's gone all the way. If not just go to the doctor and get your antibiotic and use a condom.

And if you get tired of cranberry juice, they sell cranberry pills. I take those when I feel an infection starting. Make sure to also keep drinking plenty of water. I hope you feel better!
