my daughter got something in her eye tonight when sitting around the camp fire....she says it was from the tree above where she was sitting. Like any youngster, she itched and itched. When we brought her inside the house to have a closer look, we noticed the white of the eye is very swallen...looks like a bubble over it that wrinkles when the eye shifts left to right, up and down and visa versa. We have a cold compress on it but wondered if this was a normal protective reaction of the eye (the wrinkley bubble thingy on the white of her eye)???? Anyone who can speak to this, please do. I recently had this problem and my doctor gave me an eye drop which worked well. The generic name of the eye drop is Dexamethasone, BP 0.1%. Consult to your doc about this.
If your daughter still have the problem of itching I think this remedy will work well. Not sure about its application on children though.

Im allergic to most animals and my eyes always get itchy and swollen around animals. Have you tried taking benidryl? it helps and also get some homeopathic eye drops might work. There all natural and you can use them all day,
