You can always try sti-vectin d. It was for stretch marks but now it is the hottest thing for faces. I recomended it to my 72 year old mother-in-law so I could see if it worked for real and she literally looks younger everyday and whats best is it cleared up everything scars, blemishes and wrinkles. She got it from the health food store and it was expensive 135.00 but you may be able to find it cheaper. Also I know they sell scar removers for about 40 in drug stores i'm not faniliar with any of them though.

Well, scars never go away completely, but there are a lot of products that will even out your complexion. My favorite is glycolic acid because it is genlte and it exfoliates very effectively. You might want to check out some products with 10 - 15 percent glycolic acid in it. Also this is a good website about different products to help skin. Hope that you find it helpful!

Rub some vitamin e, or some castor oil, onto the scars every night, an hour or so before you go to bed. Preferably castor oil.

Don't use too much, just an extremely thin layer on the affected area(s). Rub the oil in for several minutes, to ensure the oil has penetrated the outer layers of skin.

Being a skeptic nowadays, i'm still tentative in my lauding of this product (castor oil), but I (personally) am seeing this oil do excellent things in my own use of it.

Such a simple, inexpensive, 'easy to get your hands on' product, and yet so many uses (so i've heard), two of which, I can attest, seem to be true, from my own situation (so far).

Anyway, castor oil is supposed to break down the scar tissue over a period of several weeks to longer (sometimes much longer), depending on the type of scar (size, thickness, depth etc) in question.

It's also supposed to work in evening up one's skin tone, due to the fact that one of castor oil's components is used in some skin bleaching products (azelaic acid).

So it's good for darker, uneven areas of skin. It is said to be a good moisturizer too (due to its emollient effect), but I don't like the idea of wearing an oily substance on my skin during the daytime, especially since it's summer here, and it can get pretty hot.

Castor oil is thick and viscous, so it just feels sticky on me during the day. I'd only use it at night.

Let me qualify what i've said by adding that it may not necessarily work for everyone in this (or any other) regard, but it's cheap, and can be found at any chemist/pharmacist, or even in some supermarkets.

So why not give it a try? Good luck with it!

Btw, if you can get your hands on the cold-pressed variety, even better, since that is the type that is supposed to be effective.

My bottle of castor oil doesn't specify that it is (or isn't) cold-pressed, so I assume it isn't. It does seem to be working though.
