Q: Stomach Pain

About three days ago, I started having these stomach pains shortly after lunch. They weren't constant, more like every so often my stomach would hurt, almost like a cramp. This has continued through yesterday. I haven't had the pains yet today (it's almost 9:00am). However, I haven't had much of an appetite since the pains started and i've been slightly nauseous at times. Also, on the first day, my stool was slightly softer/mushier than usual, but today it is definitely watery diarrhea, no diarrhea pain though, just urges to go. I have been in taiwan for the past two weeks, but I come here once every one or two years as my relatives live here. I am 19 years old. Any idea what's wrong?

Your stomach is probably getting used to the new foods you are eating at a different place, even if you're eating the same things you eat in taiwan, there are still some differences between the same foods here and in taiwan. You may rid the pains after a week or so of getting used to the food.

If you find your pains to be severe or it lasts for longer than a week, go see a doctor... Good luck to you! Wish you well!

Update: not long ago, I experience an overwhelming feeling of nausea, complete with the warning signal that I was about to vomit- a tingling, tightening sensation in my nose as well as my stomach. I rushed off to the bathroom, but by the time I got there, the need to vomit passed, although the nausea still remains. Stomach flu?

Yep. I threw up two hours later. My aunt had me go to the doctor's where they said I had the stomach flu and gave me some medicine. So much for my "vomit streak" of five years.
