I recently had protectd sex with a hiv person and I want to know how long do I have to wait til I get a accurate result,please help me

The standard window for either of the hiv tests is 3 months, then 6 months, then a year. In 3 months, most doctors will tell you that you that you can have fairly accurate test results. The best thing to do would be to wait the three months and go get tested. They're not going to be able to tell anything for sure until then. I hope this helps.
