Q: Breaking Hair

Is there a medical condition for hair breaking off? My hair is not falling out, its breaking off. I have lost over 8 inches in the last year. Could it be my birth control? I have been taking vitamins and using a good conditioner to strengthen it, but nothing is working. Could it be a sympton of a medical condition?

My hair keeps going to a certain length than it breaks,than i cut it than the same thing happens
