Q: Living Without a Tmj

Hi,

i would really like to hear from anybody who has had a tmj removed and is now living without this joint. I had a rib graft and titanium joint fitted, both unsuccessful. So at the moment I have no left tmj and am finding it difficult and painful to live with. Simple things like eating, talking for any length of time are a nightmare. I would like to speak to someone who is is in the same position, and if anyone knows what the way forward would be as my surgeon is unwilling to discuss any further procedures until the scar tissue has healed. I have had 3 operations so far most recent being end september 2005.

Thanks
sammi from scotland
