I have dermatomyositis and lupus, and this kinda limits my bc options. I'm not allowed to take the pill or any other form of bc that contains estrogen.

The choices that i've narrowed down to is a prgestron (sp?) only bc pill or the depro-provera shot.

I need some good and bad opinion on both...

Thanks

Extremely eHealthy
Depo lasts for 3 months, so if you were to have problems with it you would not be able to get it out of your system very quickly. The mini pill is excellent, and as you know estrogen free. If you were to have problems with the progestin, such as too much weight gain, depression, hair loss, ect.. All you have to do is stop taking the pill.
Have you also considered an iud?(coil)
