Hi I just got my first birth control today and I applied for medicaid not 100% sure what it was. When I was filling out the forms it never asked if I was a full time student or not. I am a full-time student in college and I only filled out that I was employed by my modeling agency (which is not considered a real employer) because I was scared that if I put unemployed that they would think I dont work at all and should pay more for my birth control. I dont know what to do. If I should call them and tell them that I am a full-time student. I know I will have to do it somehow but what's the difference from being on medicaid and telling them I am a full-time student?

I'm not really sure how this stuff works. I sure feel really stupid so can someone help pleeease?

Medicaid usually depends on income, not college status. It also varies by age. Here in nc, you can get medicaid up to 21.. But if you are over 21 you must have a child, or be disabled or elderly to recieve medicaid.

Am I going to be in a lot of trouble. What kind of changes do they have to make that might affect me?

You are okay. The main thing medicaid worries about is employment, not college status. They will not think because you are "unemployed" that you do not deserve it, in fact many unemployed people have it .

Yeah, it goes by income. You should be fine.
