Depression Answer A119
It depends upon what kind of depression you are experiencing. If you are suffering from endogenous (psychotic) depression (International Diagnosis Code F32), you are most likely not able, and in most countries, PERMITTED to perform any work. But, if you are suffering from anxious (neurotic) depression (International Diagnosis Code F41.2), you are most likely able to perform most jobs. To better understand regulatory statutes for your part of the world (especially regarding work with children), you can ask for an expert opinion from your family practioner, a mental health professional, and a lawyer .
