At your age it's normal to have irregular periods.... I use to go months without it. Good for you--using protection is a very smart thing to do!

If this is something that is becoming bothersome, I would suggest going on birth control---it'll regulate your period.

When I was a younger I went like a month without my period, everyone I talked to told me stress can cause a late period. I started stressing when I was a week late. I guess they were right cause I took a hpt and it was negative, a few days later after I calmed down I started. Good luck.

Jst remember if your having sex, there is no such thing as safe sex in my opinion, but it want hurt to double your protection, a back up you could say, with his part. Of course im 33 years old and I have children and im married as well, but I remember all the boyfriends I had they wanted to have sex with me, but I always told them no, some stayed with me for a couple months, and all we did was kiss and stuff but, I was young so I didnt know what love was anyway, just all crushes with me, but I was virgin untill I got married. That I gave virginity to my loving husband on my honeymoon,and that was very special. I was about 19 when I lost it.
