Hi, I had my first manic episode about 8
weeks ago and have bene on risperdal for 5
weeks now. As far as racing thoughts,
strange images in my head, feelings and
not sleeping ,,, its worked real good.
Howeer im still really depressed and the
depression is not shifting whereas before
it would. I think its the medication so I
missed my dose last night and had the
strangest night ive had in over a month.
First of all I kept waking up, couldnt
sleep, then I had all these numbers flying
through my head, I could see them at the
front of my mind, and then I had this
strange expereince with a loud buzzing
sound and presence on my back. Is this
possible from just missing one nights dose
? Or was I just dreaming.

It could be you should not stop taking
medication suddenly because it can cause
negative effects. I would advise you to
see your doctor and tell him what is
happening he may reduce the dose or
introduce a mood stabiliser or change the
current medication. Hope this has helped.
By the way what dose were you on?

I am on 0.5mg I just got back from psych
doc today and now he wants to do an eeg so
now im even more worried... Is this
normal procedure when they suspect bipolar
?
