I think you have to want to do it, a little at least, if it's going to be fun for either of you. Once you've made up your mind to do it, just get down there and give it a go; your guy should be able to let you know if something's not going right. And variety is good too. Sometimes fast and furious is the medicine; sometimes it's nice to take it slow. The more you do it the more you'll know about what you and your guy like, and he should be able to tell you what he's looking for, too. If he's not into exploring with you, and making you figure it out by yourself, he must not really want it, so don't waste your time.
Anyway, I come to the forum looking for help, and i'm dissapointed if no one is willing to answer my questions, so I figured i'd put in my two cents and at least give you a little feed back! Good luck!
