Wow, i just read all this... and im not sure that i have this Frenulum breve....

how can i check it?

if you pull your foreskin backwards you should be able to pull it all the way, without feeling much tension in the frenulum. When it's too short, your glans will also bend down a bit. That's a simple trick.

You can also google image search this and compare Razz

Or just see a doctor, he'll know for sure

Checked Today
I've been doing a lot of research on Frenulum Breve for the past few months. Tried the stretching which did help to an extent, but felt that having a frenuloplasty was going to be a better alternative for me in the long run since I have the insurance for it. I can currently pull the foreskin back while flaccid, and after taking time stretching I can pull it back while erect but there is discomfort doing so, and I have to force it to go behind the glan and doesn't want to stay. I went to see a urologist today and first saw a nurse practician who after I told him the problem asked if I wanted a circumcision. I told him no and that I'd prefer a frenuloplasty and I think it through him off guard and didn't know what I was talking about, so he brought in one of the urologists to take a look. The doctor examined me and told me he was a more conservative doctor and suggested I just leave it alone without any surgery. I've done A LOT of research on the subject, and I know he's the doctor and I'm just a person on the internet but I really feel like I have this condition and am being driven away from the solution.

Should I get a second opinion or just go with what he said? I've compared what I have to pictures and it is exactly the same as my situation. It felt really discouraging to go in there planning to schedule the surgery and told to leave it how it is.

Same problem!
Ok so i've had the same problem, was having sex with my girlfriend and all of a sudden felt a huge pain followed by a lot of bleedin, for several hours, it eventually stopped bleeding and i now find it difficult to retract my foreskin without causing any pain.

I've done some research and have snapped my frenulum would a 'frenuloplasty' be able to get me back to the way i was before? I've waited 5 days so far, should i give it longer to heal?

I have no shame in going to the doctors but wanted to seek additional advice before i went, please get back to me soon, thanks!

breve
hi all
back when i was 20 my frenulum (or banjo as i've always called it) suddenly gave way and was left with a small nick horizontally across my frenulum.
i am now 35 & two weeks ago, it suddenly ripped open a paper sized cut again ( no blood) on a week with NO sexual activity.
I'm in pain, it has healed, ripped, healed, ripped over and over, & for two weeks now it has left a significant scar/gap. this doesn't actually hurt too much except on the tip of my penis where the skin attaches itself to my head, its a little swollen and i can barely pull my foreskin back without wanting to scream.
i have had no problems in the past, everything has been in working order but i am reluctant going to a dr in case they push for a FULL circumcision which i am dead set against.
just short of cutting the damn thing off myself i was wondering if this is the same problem others have faced and if a frenuplasty is the way to go?
