I just got back from surgery, it was
okay!
I didn't feel anything really, but I got a
bandage now and that's a bit annoying, and
it keeps bleeding a bit
anyway, moral of the story: the surgery
was no big deal at all
i just hope the next days aren't too
bad...
I'll keep you informed

Someone messaged me about the surgery
i thought i'd share what I wrote him:
-----------
hello there
well, the first thing I wanna say is you
should definatly go see a doctor and stop
trying. The more it'll rip, the harder
it'll be to get it fixed
my surgery went great, when they do it you
won't feel a thing
but the days afterwards were kind anasty I
have to be honest
my whole penis was wrapped in a bandage,
cuz it kept bleeding for about a week, not
heavily, but the little part where they
had cut the skin was always sticking in
the bandage and it ripped when I took it
off
and I had to apply a new bandage daily
with some healingcrème or whatever
anyway, the days after that were ok, it
stung a bit when I pulled my forskin
backwards and it was really sensitive
but after about, I dunno, a month or
something, it got better and about 2
months after surgery I had sex and it went
just great
it healed very well, the frenulum was
still a bit tight at first, but after some
more sex (hehe) it got better, I think it
needs to be streched a bit
moral of the story: it's a bit nasty
first, hurts a few days, but in the end
it's worth it and it will probably
guarantee a very god sexlife for the rest
of you days, no more worries about ripping
and stuff
but like I said, go see a doctor, he'll
know what to do more precise in your
situation
hope this helps, good luck!

Oy.
For anyone who's asked a doctor about
their potential frendulum breve
problem....What happens when you see
them?
Do you have to ..Y'know, show them your
problem?
Cause that might be awkward.

well yeah, it might feel a bit weird at
first, but think about it:
the doctor that does the surgery is a
urologist
he/she sees penises or vaginas daily, all
the time, every patient...
They handle it completely professional, so
you shouldn't be ashamed of it
when I had my appointment, he first talked
to me, about the problem and why I thought
I had it, if I had sex before, etc.
Then he said ok sit down (in his special
chair) and drop your pants
ok, so that was a bit akward/funny
but then he looked at it, very careful,
and he agreed I had frenulum breve
a 'trick' to see if you have it, is when
you pull your forskin backwards and your
frenulum gets white (cuz the blood in it
gets pushed away by the pulling of it) and
it obviously prevents pulling it further
hmm, dunno if this helps you at all, but
really, I stress that everybody with a
problem or a question shouldn't be afraid
to post it here
a lot of men have it, but not much info is
available in my opinion
so talk and help eachother

Hey, thanks for the reply, breve. ^_^
so it's not your doctor who takes a look,
its a urologist.
Sweet.
I believe my problem does fall into that
"area turning white" category.
I'm making arrangements now to see my
doctor about it all.
Thanks for the help.

Hello all, this is my first post here, from
what i gathered i have the condition named
'frenulum breve' aswell, and i have a few
questions regarding it.
Because i am never able to fully retract
the foreskin, most of the times i suffer
from premature ejaculation, my only way
around it right now is to pull my
testicles between my feet and hold them
there so my foreskin is as retracted and
immobile as possible, but this only works
when my girlfriend is on top and it's a
bit wierd for me to do this little set-up
each time, basically i dont want my
foreskin to rub up and down my penis
during intercourse, i understood that if i
could retract it all the way it'd just
stay that way and my problems would
dissapear.
I read on the web about so-called
stretching exercises and i tried those but
with no results. So i had my girlfriend
pull as hard as she could, it's not really
painfull, i feel some discomfort but the
pleasure makes up for it. She tried
several times but it didnt tear and we
gave up. I kept doing those stretching
exercises and one day when i was taking a
shower i noticed the upper part of the
frenulum was looking like it was bruised
so i pulled again as hard as i could and
it ripped a little bit and bled, i waited
a few days for it to heal and now it's
about half as thin, it's like i carved a
bit of it out.
And here is my question, if i were to
continue pulling, would it eventually rip
completely and i would be able to retract
my foreskin all the way?
I considered going to the doctor to get a
frenuloplasty but that's not really an
option for me, i dont think there are many
doctors that can do that here plus i'm
really shy about these things with my
family.
So, i'm in need of some advice/suggestions

It depends, I guess. lol
I just got my frenulum breve corrected.
Went last weekend. They did a cystoscopy
to see if there wasn anything that might
be bothered by doing the "operation". That
was teh most painful part..Havea tube
stuck in there..And even that was only
midly uncomfortable.
the doc used a special kind of heat-needle
and snipped the problem in about 2
minutes. Next thing I know, I'm walking
home happy. No more frenulum breve. What a
relief. Seriously.
ONly prob is......I'm not allowed to have
sex (penetrative or oral), or even
masturbate for a whole week...While the
burn mark heals.
I guess the doctors have made a new way of
correcting frenulum breve. The new
procedure (the heat needle thing) just
burns it back without any pain. Doesn't
even draw blood. Frickin win!

the urologist that did my surgery told me
a lot of people with frenulum breve get
their frenulum ripped and then they wait
for it to heal
and then they rip it again, wait for it to
heal
etc. etc.
but every time you rip it, it get's
weaker, and it will rip more easily the
next time
plus, it will get harder and harder to do
a surgery
so I really suggest you just go see a
urologist (there was one in our local
hospital so I guess you could go look for
one there)
and see what he thinks is the best for
you
good luck

Well thats not really good news, if it'll
just rip and rip again, but wont it get
loose after it rips? Meaning, more loose
each time it rips untill it finally
becomes long enough ?

Each time it rips, when it heals, it forms
more scar tissue. Scar tissue is tough,
not stretchy, so ripping it over and over
may cause it to be tighter, not looser.

This is very true. I first had a rip of
the frenulum when I was 18 (losing a pint
of blood), and it plagued the next five
years of my life, ripping badly twice more
and in a minor way n numerous occasions.
Sex became so traumatic, with the threat
of more pain and blood constantly in the
back of my mind, that I began to lose my
interest in sex and show the early signs
of erectile dysfunction. The vicious cycle
was completed by the fact that every time
I did become genuinely aroused and got a
full erection, I was more likely to injure
my penis again. Finally I underwent a full
circumcision (removal of the frenulum and
the entire foreskin) about a month ago -
although it was pretty traumatic in itself
being cut and scarred, I know it was one
of the best decisions I've ever made.

Hey all,
I believe I have this condition known as
frenulum brevity (breveity?). I can pull
my foreskin back just fine while
non-erect, but once erect it barely goes
back at all, being held by the "frenulum".
From everything I've heard, it sounds
like this condition. I have no problem,
ahem, spanking the monkey, however I am
concerned this could interfere with future
sexual relationships. About treatment, in
the UK, how would you go about getting
this treated? Would you see your GP, or
go directly to a urinary health place?
Thanks loads
Edit: R.e. the operations described above,
how bad is the anesthetic injection? You
say it's not bad, but I am a self
professed wimp. Cheers
i was just reading this stuff about
frenulum ripping, and during oral sex I
accidentally ripped my boyfriends
foreskin. is this really serious, will he
need an operation?

Frenulum Breve And Balanitis Posted: 04-15-07 17:07pm
Hi folks
I'm no expert, h123, but I think the most
important thing to find out is whether the
frenulum snapped or whether it was just a
cut in the foreskin which I think can be
treated like any other cut. Here's a
picture of what the frenulum looks like:
http://secretpenis.com/frenu
lum.jpg
I only recently realised that frenulum
breve could be an issue for me. It's
funny because I always used to be a bit
embarrassed about my unusual and small
penis. I feel much better now that I have
been able to shed some light on my sexual
health and find names for things that used
to be a bit of a mystery.
I find that the foreskin only just sits
underneath the glans during sex. The
frenulum looks white and stretched. Might
it snap? Should I feel worried about this?
I should say that I am now 33 so perhaps
if it was going to snap then it would have
done so by now.
One condition that I do have is balanitis.
Does anyone else here have it? I used to
assume that patches of everyone's glans
are always a little inflamed and red. But
I must admit that it was a little worrying
when cuts would open up during
masturbation.
I'll tell you what. It is so much better
to be able to explain my penis problems to
worried girlfriends using medical terms
rather than coming up with the
unconvincing "Er.. I think it's because
I've got a bigger foreskin than average"!
Yours
Exxon

I had exactly what you're having now.
Me and my partner were just beginning sex,
and she mounted me. She went down on it a
few times and it felt really dry and
tight, obviously she wasn't wet enough yet
- but after going down on it a third or
fourth time, it hurt really bad, and
without me being able to stop her the
fifth time due to lack of communication,
my frenulum tore and left me to run to the
bathroom with blood going everywhere, all
over me, the floor, the sheets, the sink.
It was only after it clotted up a little
that it actually stopped bleeding
continuously - it's definitely not
pleasant. I was traumatised by it, not
knowing beforehand what had happened, and
i thought i'd broken my penis :/
But after some research, i realised it'll
just heal up - and when it does, it'll
either heal up further apart (Which is
what mine appears to have done, and it is
no longer too tight) or it will heal back
together again, and return to being
tight.
I would say the best way out of the
situation, is to get the operation that
opens the length of it a little. It's
either that, or wait until it breaks and
hope it doesn't heal up tight again.
I'm not sure what other options there are,
but the operation seems the easiest and
most hassle free.
I look back on it breaking and laugh, and
now me and my partner think it was pretty
funny. But when it happens, it's the
epitome of pain.
