Scared the Living Cr*p Out of Me

Hey

hey

omg I am soo upset right now.. I just got back from going to the grocery store with my brother and we passed a local highschool and there was a car wrapped around a telephone pole.. It was a mustang from what we could tell.. There was cops and fire firghters and paramedics all over the place.. I was immediatly worried and brought up memories from the accident almost 2 years ago that killed my two best freinds... I got my brother to pull over cuz I wanted to know what had happened.. So he pulled over and we got out and started talking to the many ppl that were crowded in the area... No one knew what had happened.. The cops and fire fighters were all doing thier job.. Well we waited for about 10 minutes a police officer came over and asked everyone how they were feeling about this... Everyone was scared there was even people crying... Finally after someone asked what happened he explained that this was a mock crash to make everyone(meaning youth.. There have been alot of accidents killing youth in the last 2 years) that speed kills.. I understand why they are doing this.. But I think they r going around it the wrong way.. Did they stop to think of peoples feelings or emotions from those who have already lost close freinds of family members to a sppeed related accident... I mean they could prove their point another way...

Omg I was reading that and I almost started crying! Thank goodness it was a mock and no one was hurt! Truthfully I think they did the right thing, I am a teen driver and to be honest when I leave the parking lot at school I wait until most of my classmates have driven off because I don't feel safe driving with other teens around! Most are reckless and feel invinsable! My friend pat did a story on teens behind the wheel. It is posted on our school website

Hey I think the mock accident was an good ideal but they should of done it another way but it was a good way to get the youth thinking because for you to see in person what speeding can do shows you the reality of what can happen unlike tv where they can make things seem a little unreal I mean witch are you going to believe more tv or seeing it in person but I think they should of done it at a school to show more people could of been their or a place where you had an options to be thier also I think it may have got the point across because I bet any one who saw the mock demosraction most thier most likely wacthed their speed even though it may have been for that day what the people should of done was warn every one before doing it and explaning what was going on because they could of freaked out the wrong persons

Hey

hey I agree with what your saying.. They shouldve warned us that this was going to be happening.. I have seen first hand what speeding does my two best friends were killed in a car accident almost 2 years ago I was the last person to see them alive.. I was also dating the guy who flew through the windsheild of the car.. I saw the car hours after the crash still in the ditch.. I think they shouldve told us before hand... All I know is now I am going to have a harder time getting over losing dayton and simon because of these feelings that have been brought to the surface... They shouldve warned the already affected

Hey...

For homecoming last year my school had the mothers against drunk driving and they had a mustang and another car brought in. The mustang was mangled you couldn't even tell what kind of car it was. Well there was still blood on the windshield and seats and beer bottles everywhere. The kid that was driving was drunk and got into an accident and killed him and his girlfriend. It was so horrible, it really made ppl think. Drinking and driving is so stupid!

It isn't just teens who drive recklessly! For goodness sakes, listen to what you are saying. There are so many people who never learned how to drive! I would say at least 50% of car accidents, at least in my area, are caused by old people who cannot even see over the steering wheel anymore. I would rather be driving with speed demons then someone who is legally blind. But the government will not do anything about it because it is "age discrimination." well, then it is "age discrimination" to not be able to get your license until a certain age.
But anywho, that mock thing was kinda ignorant. I see their point, but every time I see a car accident I am afraid that someone I know is dead. My heart sinks to my feet and I feel like vomiting. If I had seen that, and they told meit was fake, I would be royally pissed! I know, the high schools around here will get a car that is really destroyed and set it up somewhere to show that this is what happens when you drink and drive. I think that is a much better idea.
P.S I wasn't being mean in the beginning of this post. I hope you don't take it that way.
