hCG is a prescription drug here in the U.S. You should not use hCG if you have a history of systemic cancer, if you use insulin by injection, or if you take nitrates for your heart. If someone or some site claims they can sell you hCG without a prescription, watch out! It is both illegal and dangerous! You don't know if you can safely handle the hCG or the very-low-calorie-diet (VLCD) and you won't know what you're getting in that hCG vial!
hCG allows you to comfortably maintain a VLCD by mobilizing about 2000 calories worth of energy stored in your excess fat. With hCG you will not feel hungry or have a lack of energy while on the VLCD. Without the VLCD, hCG will not cause you to lose weight.
As far as an hCG pill or sub-lingual hCG, I haven't heard of any that actually work. I read that the molecule of hCG itself is too big to be absorbed under your tongue or in your digestive tract, and that the acidic environment in your stomach destroys the hormone. I wouldn't trust a brand-new pill unless it came from one of the big name pharmaceutical companies, and as far as I know they haven't released an hCG pill.
People using hCG on a proper physician supervised program can lose upto a pound a day or more safely and without any side effects. My personal best day using hCG was 5lbs! That was in 1 day!
