Has Anyone Taking This When Ttc???
Posted: 01-03-06 14:30pm

Hey ladies! My husband and I are going to start ttc agian soon. I had a miscarriage and my doctor told me to wait a little while before starting agian. Anyway she told me I should start taking folic acid, she said thats it's good for women espically when they are ttc. Anyway I was just wondering if anyone else had takin it when they were ttc and if they think it helped at all or how much u took. Or where u got it. I know they sell it at cvs and those kinda of stores but theres are so many different kinds you can get. Anyway any advice or info would help. Thanks

I just experienced a miscarriage so my heart goes out to you and your family.

It is advisable that all women either ttc or just of that age range take at least 400mcg of folic acid. I take the recomended dose of 800mcg. This should be taken 3 months before conception to be fully in your system. This does not aid in conception. This vitiman helps prevent birth defects such as spina bifida.

You can find it in alone or in a multi vitiman. I started taking a prenatal vitiman that has 800mcg in it. We have been ttc for about 7 months.

Good luck and baby dust too!
