Re: I Ve Only Got Three Periods Im 23 Help!!
I am also 23 I had problems with my periods when I was 16 and was advised to go on the depo injection birth control a needle which you have once every three months you dont have any periods at all then when I was 19 I decided I wanted a child with my partner of 8 years it took me 18 months to get pregnant and this was through the needle my doctor advises me. After giving birth to a healthy 8lb 3oz boy my periods are as synchronized as swan lake. Have you tried haveing a sti test as you my have some kind of infection which is causing these irregular periods it has been known for girls to have infections with no symptons such as clamydeia which can be serious as it destroys youre fallopian tubes if left to long there for decreasing youre chances of startin a family my advice is put youre foot down tell the doctor what you want done about it instead of him telling you whats going to happen

I used to only get periods every once in awhile. After I had my son and after I was on depo, they never came back. I was diagnosed with pcos. I have to take prometrium to get my period every 3 months or stand a higher chance of cancer. I am trying to get pregnant now using metformin to start and then clomid if met doesn't work.
Have you asked your gynecologist? If that was your gyno, maybe you should find a different Dr.

Depo Deteriorates Your Bones!
I too had a problem similar and was advised to go on the depo shot. After a year of being on it, I severely broke my foot. It was the first bone i'd ever broken and couldn't walk on it for 4 months. I found out then that after a year on the shot your bones can start to deteriorate, and this is probably why I broke it after only stepping on a shoe funny. Don't want to alarm anyone, just thought I would tell people, since my doctor failed to inform me.
