My niece has bacterial conjuntivitis...Her cheeks are red all the way to her mouth on both sides...She is using an antibiotic drop for her eyes..Is there any thing elses she should be doing?
Could this pink cheek thing be a bad reaction to the medication?
She is 5 months pregnant too?

If she is currently being treated by her local md/gp it maybe worthwhile getting an appointment with an othamologist.

If she is under the care of an othamologist he or she should be doing follow ups with her every few days, as proper treatment shouild resolve the problem relatively quickly.

Most doctors will prescribe drops and cream for the eye as well as recommending an appropriate eye wash.
