Q: Feeling Lost...

Hi, i'm 28 and have been married for 2 years. We've been ttc for over a year with no luck. I do not ovulate without medication (tried clomid for over 6 months). We've seen a fertility specialist for about 3 months now, and he has me on letrozole and I just had my second iui, still waiting... My husband and I have had all the tests, but nothing is abnormal with him and there is no known cause for my lack of ovulation. I ovulated late with clomid (day 20-23) and also with ltz (day 18). Could this be a factor in why we are not getting pregnant? Has anyone had success with iui, if so how many times did it take? I'd really apprecite any advice.

i know how you feel... I had my first son via clomid and iui.... My second son took more... Clomid didn't work the first cycle... So the second we used injectibles...Repronex... It worked but took 20 days of injections! Sigh. This time... Trying for baby three is just dragging on and driving me crazy... Seriously. Its so hard emotionally sometimes I just wanna quit. My first cycle didn't work... I was supposed to test this thursday or friday to see if it worked this time... But i"m spotting heavily today and its day 11, so late for implantation...Early for a period... So its a waiting game to see and I hate it. I am obviously resigned to it not having worked again. If your doctor knows what he's doing and doing the inter-uterian insemination, then he should have complete control over when you ovulate. This time I ovulated using follistim... The best by far if you have to do injectibles... So much easier and almost 100% painless...Just a barely there prick if anything... And no mixing of the meds! So, ask about the follistim pen method, using the follistim injectibles. But my Dr. Regulates and watches my ovaries and the eggs... Measuring the amount and size... And then he does a shot of hcg which makes you ovulate within 24 hours...And then the next two days does the insemination process.... Soooo.... Maybe he should do the shot of hcg to make sure you ovulate when expected... Otherwise why spend all that money? This is my fifth time doing this insemination process... So if you have any questions I may be able to help you... Okay?? I'd love to talk. I am just so sad and confused about this spotting/early period and I dont' know which it is for me and was really hoping this would be the month. Take care.
