Hi every1,im 18.5 & have been on the mini pill (progestern only) for about 1.5yrs now.A few months ago,i was getting terrible shooting & stabbing pains everyday which felt like they were coming from my ovaries & they also felt like they were coming from deep inside me. I made an docs appointment & had an ultrasound & an internal camera at the hospital. The doctor said they showed there was nothing wrong with me except that I may have had a cyst on my ovary which had shrunk over time.Im now getting these pains again & they come every now & then which makes it hard 2 believe that everythings fine cos these pains really do hurt. All I want 2 know is if any1 else has had such pains cos I feel like im on my own on this one! Let me know please

Hey sparkly! I have a cyst on my right ovary that the doctor also says "not to worry about" once in a while it hurts so badly I could cry. I guess some cysts on ovaries are normal. They fill up during the month and shrink back up after the menstrual cycle. I, however, did not want to listen to that doctor because the pain was so bad. I went to a specialist who said I have all of the signs of endometreosis. I haven't had the laproscopic surgery to make sure, because I do not have health insurance. Also, when they do go in to look, they usually cut it out if you do have it. You can only have it removed so many times before having to get a hysterectomy, so I am waiting until I want to have children. Just to be safe. But, anyway, point being, if it continues to bother you, go to a different doctor. I hope you feel better! Also, you could go on a different pill. Some pills are actually used to treat cysts and endometreosis. Maybe you just need a different hormonal level.
