Q: Constant Uncontrollable Belching With Hiccups

This has been going on now for 2 months....Sometimes goes away for a few days but comes back. Will hiccup and belch uncontrollable every few seconds for hours and even days without much interruption. Sometimes so much air builds up that I wheeze and cannot catch my breath. Usually when this happens it will stop for awhile. Also, it will stop if I vomit. I have seen or talked with 5 doctors who fluff it off as reflux. I am on prilosec, maalox and one doctor proscribed thorozine for the hiccups but the side effects were too severe. It is hard to go to work with this and function without making everyone sick. I don't know how to stop it. I had blood work and a chest xray done and all was "normal". I really think there is something nasty causing this. I can't imagine going through the rest of my life with this. I have done some research on my own and have come up with "aerophagia" and "high-frequency diaphragmatic flutter". Not much "cure" for any of it.

Uncontrollable Belching
I too, started out with uncontrollable belching but then began having severe gut wrenching pain ( gnawing. If you will).
It turned out I had- and still have h -pylori. This is a very painful and annoying bacteria that heeds medical attention asap. You are going to need antibiotics if this is indeed what you are suffering with.
Good luck :!:

Hi everyone,
i have some gnawing pains to. I don't have belching though but have look up. Helicobacter pylori does not causes belching. It causes peptic ulcer disease and cancer . So better watch out. Reflux esophagitis causes belching.
