Back && Neck Pain Posted: 01-02-06 10:04am
Well, ive always had back pain and neck
pain, but in the past month or so, ive
been getting migrains, and I can feel the
pain pulcating from my neck, I went to a
doctor and she said I had tence mussles,
she adviced me to use a heat pack and
cream, ive found this hasnt helped one
bit, its starting to bug me, I have one of
my finals years of school next year, and I
dont need migrains.
I used to get migrains about once a month,
but now once ever 3 days or so.
Im only 15.
My dad gets migrains every night, and im
scared that will be me in a few years, hes
one of them men that wont go to a doctor
is his arm is cut off (lol) so we never
found out what caused his.
Any advice would be great.
Thanks for your time reading this

You should probably see a heachache
specialist (neurologist) to diagnose the
type of headache you are having. You
are very young to be having chronic neck
and back pain. As a student, you are
probably studying and carrying heavy
books. Perhaps your doctor should
inquire into your study habits (posture,
etc). Pain radiating from the back of
the neck to the top of the head could be
occipital neuralgia rather than a
headache. I think the first step though
is to find out what type of heachache you
have... And yes, this means going back
to your doctor. If he/she cant help
you, ask for a referral to a
neurologist.
Good luck!

thank you very much for you advice.
But I have been out of schooling for 3
years now, and I never carryed heavy
school bags, my mum has always been very
fussy about that.
But yes, I will go back to my doctor
asap.
