My daughter is 2 years and 3 months. She started developing allerigies a few months ago and started on a course of zyrtec and nasonex, she has been on flixotide 2 / day and zyrtec and nasonex for about 2 1/2 weeks now. The doctor also gave me some beredual for when she has an attack. She has been fine and not needed it until last night. A few hours after bed she started coughing this very horse "croupy" cough. We gave her some beredual and rushed to the hospital. By the time the doctor saw her she was fine and he could find nothing wrong. We went home and about 5 am this morning she woke up with the cough again. This got better quite soon after waking and giving her flixotide and nasonex. She had a bit of a dry cough the whole day and started the coughing again before bed, have given her her flixotide and berodual. I had a bit of a burning chest and throat yesterday. Can you tell me what this is, what can I do about it, what do you think is causing this ? She has started showing a cat allergy with other people's cats. We have 3 cats. I am also allergic to cats and developed asthma a few years ago. I do have preflam if neccessary. Please help !

If your cats are allowed in her room and especially on her bed and pillows then it's possible that's causing some problems. Pets should never be allowed in the bedroom when the child as an allergy.

Get some plastic covers for the bed and pillows and be sure to clean the sheets and pillow cases regularly.
