Foot drop
I am 38, female with a foot drop. I have a AFO leg brace. A month ago i just had surgery to release the tension in my tendions. It is not a cure for my foot drop there is none for that, I have it on my left foot, thank goodness it isn't on my right foot or I wouldn't be able to drive at all, I cant use my left foot much. I applied for disability in may of 2009 and got denied for benefits, they say it isn't a long term disability in there rules, so i am going to appeal it. So i have to write a letter and do two forms on there site to. It is harder to take care of my 3 yr old daughter more now, my son is ten and he helps with her a lot. I feel several times when i took gymnactics when i was a teenager around age 13 to 15 and I damaged nerves, but it got worse and my foot started to turn. leg brace was finally the answer, but the last few years it has gotten worse and then i had to have the surgery or i was going to get worse and end up in a wheel chair i was told by DR. Nicholas Gates in Edgewood, ky.
I hope this helps someone out.
