so far we have done the similac isomil; enfamil a.R.; enfamil prosobee and both the regular similac and enfamil lactose based formulas and he is now about 80% breast fed.

He is best with the breast feeding and now he will be getting on a schedule of napping and sleeping.

Most resources say that a baby his age should be sleeping between 16 and 18 hours a day and he is getting about 11 hours total. This may be his main problem. As far as eating goes, he is 24" long and 15lbs 9oz at the 2 month appt. He was 21" and 7lbs. 7.3oz. At birth. He is at the top of the percentile or out of spec on some.

Thanks for the help and I am working on getting his pic up here.

Try not to worry too much.....Babies go through so any phases. I remember my son was "semi" collicky between 3-4 months every night between 5 and 7. Like clockwork. Other than that, he has always been the happiest baby, not collicky. They will surprise you. Maybe your baby has acid reflux, has he been checked for that? There is enfamil ar for acid reflux, my 4 month old cousin drinks that. Good luck. The stages will pass and like you said, it's all worth it because you gain their love. ;o)

Maybe try giving him soya version of baby milk....Similar thing happened to someone I know. She wanted to stop breastfeeding after 2 months, but when she introduced formula milk the baby cried so much, didnt sleep for long periods, didnt seem happy at all. She got the doctor to prescribe special baby milk which is dairy free, so im guessing it was a soya based one? Or there maybe one you can buy from the store. I can get the name of it if you want, might be different tho as im in the uk. But it worked and she continued breastfeeding only at night time.

My friend's son was super fussy and they tried everything. They finally found out he was alergic to soy, which is in most baby formulas and cereals.

Oh and hotty what did joanna say to you?

At this point, the gripe water and also putting him on a schedule for napping and sleeping, (by schedule I mean, not buckling under the pressure of him crying for a couple of minutes. He has to cry for 10 mins which seems to be enough to get him to go to sleep)

hopefully getting more than 11 hours of sleep a day will improve his outlook on life.

Thanks so much for all the help.

Brian

Hey everyone.. I got a pm from her last night. She hasn't wanted to post anything until she hears back from the doc and gets a definite answer, especially since she has read the mean things that everyone has posted. She did have the ultrasound, but she's waiting for them to review it. So she should know by the end of next week at the latest.

If she's not pregnant, lets hope they figure out what was causing the swelling.

So lets be nice until we all hear the results. =)

Dont Bother Responding, I Will Not Reply-fatfamily

ok, I typed a long reply and it didn't post...

First off... I'm a firm believer that thru god, all things are possible and thy (god's) will shall be done...Until...

Last nite my 33 year old sister told me that she is pregnant...More than 6 years ago she had a partial hysterectomy....I was very skeptical until I searched the subject and found this site...Now i'm just scared b/c even if the possiblity of getting pg was there, how in the world do you sustain it without a womb?? I've had 1 live birth and 1 misscarriage so I know it's not easy sustaining a normal pregnancy... B/c it would be hard to determine when conception occurred (with no cycle), she says that her doctor told her that if she carrys thru march, she should be ok and that in the later stages, she would be placed on complete bedrest and at about 7 1/2 months, they'll probably do a c-section (provided she carries that long)... What's even more scary is that she has a serious medical condition and was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure. I still have a lot of questions, but only time will tell... I just spoke with my boss who is a medical doctor (non-ob/gyn) and he is blown away with what I just told him and skeptical as well and asks me to keep him posted as I will you...

I Know You Won't Respond But....
Posted: 01-08-06 05:58am

Hi joanna,

i have read a lot of your posts and never responded but l just wanted to say to you that l really hope you get the result you want from your ultrasound and if you don't then just remember there are more people on here that will support you than people who leave stupid comments.
I think you have been unfairly treated by people and their nasty commentsand if people don't like what they hear you say should just stay quiet.

Good luck with everything l will be thinking of you,

georgiaxx
