On december 5th,2003 I lost my 3rd baby at 21 weeks. My first baby was lost at 23 weeks in november of 2001, my second baby at 10 weeks in november 2002. Losing the first and third baby have now been attributed to an incompetent cervix. The first baby was "just a miscarriage".I am told next pregnancy at 14 weeks, they will put a stitch in my cervix. On december 11th, 2003 (about a week after) I put myself back on the pill. My doctor says I should wait 6 months to try again, but I am not trusting this because on the day I delivered her, I had gone in that morning for a regular check up and was told I was progressing just fine, and he was going to send me on my way. It was only after I requested he physically examine me because I knew something wasn't quite right, instead of just checking the heartbeat, that he noticed my cervix was starting to open, and my bag of water was starting to protrude. So I think I know my body pretty well. I want to try again within a month or so. My questions are, i've already had intercourse since then, after waiting 2 weeks. Would the pill work quick enough, or could I still get pregnant (this would normally be my fertile week), or would I not ovulate just yet? Does ovulation carry on as normal, even after the delivery of a baby? Was I wrong to put myself on the pill so quickly? Would waiting another month be enough time to come off the pill and try again? I want another baby, a healthy one this time, so badly, I will do anything! I have been taking daily vitamins and trying to just generally be healthier. Someone help
